Ritchie Family Bracketology

Standings

Final – One game left to go!  Florida v. Houston Monday night.  Then it will all be decided.

Final 4 – Four of us have four teams left.  Not terribly surprising since they’re all 1 Seeds, something that hasn’t happened since 2008.

Sweet 16 – And what a SWEET 16 it was!  For the second time in the Tournament, we find ourselves basking in the glow of perfection.  That’s right…Scott has 8 picks left!  However, Shelley has 7!  A cynic might point to the fact that In every bracket save one, we’ve got a 1 Seed against a 2 Seed and so this is the most (easily) predictable Tournament ever.  That same cynic might root for some impossible set of results to foil Scott’s bid for glory.  Banish cynicism!  Rally behind the family’s flag bearer!  Alternatively, you can help me iron some quarters and see where the chips fall!

Day 4 – This is the day Frank would try to add a newly discovered bracket from Carol, or suggest that we all have the opportunity to rerack our bracket.  I kid you not!  The sibling rivalry is in full swing, and may be the defining feature of our little bit of bracketology.  But it’s not a foregone conclusion…I know…I can see a couple of brackets that are different enough from the leaders to not be out of it yet.  HJJ – I’m looking at you!

Day 3 – The upsets are finally hitting hard.  Bracket leaders are bobbing up and down like buoys in a hurricane.  And we have a new leader who’s slapped us all with a nigh invincible pimp hand!  Stay tuned though and remember the wisdom of Yogi Berra, “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over.”

Day 2 – Looks like a NASCAR race; a bunch of people packed up front and joy only comes from wipeouts.  Or is that Schadenfreude?  Wow…America’s true pastime and a bunch of fancy krauts have something in common!

Day 1 – Really no surprises so far…except maybe that Paige was gniyalp sdrawkcab.  But she did make the bold choice of CSU to win it all, so when that ship comes in, she’ll have the last laugh on all of us!
